This year, the Institute for Fractal Research celebrates its 10th anniversary. To mark the occasion, we shall publish a selection of papers in a festschrift entitled Simultaneity: Temporal Structures and Observer Perspectives. Topics include generating and disentangling simultaneous contrasts, the structure of the Now, simultaneous measuring, simultaneity vs. succession, temporal observer perspectives, endo- and exo-perspectives, contextualization, synchronization, nested and embedded structures, nesting and de-nesting, self-referential systems, embodied cognition, multidimensional and fractal time.
As this publication is intended to be of an interdisciplinary nature, we have invited scientists from the fields of philosophy, psychology, medicine, physics, economics, logics, linguistics, education and the neuro-sciences to contribute an article. The book is published by World Scientific (Spring 2008). Order your copy now.
