| Dear
friends and colleagues,
I would like
to invite you to present a paper/organize a session in my stream
Models of Embodied Cognition at the 25th European Conference
on Operational Research, which will take place at Vilnius, Lithuania
from 8-11 July 2012.
Aims and scope
Niklas Luhmann
defined trust as the reduction of social complexity. It facilitates
interaction among humans and may also improve human-machine interfaces.
Ways of modelling trust are the main topic of this stream. It will
investigate the merits and dangers involved in the development and
application of models which describe and mimick embodied cognition.
Particular emphasis will be given to methods of forming new systemic
wholes by means of incorporating parts of environmental spatio-temporal
structures. The aim is to be a mutual cross-semination between individuals
who attempt to learn from embodied cognition in humans in order
to improve design in AI and those who define limits and identify
shortcomings of artificial embodied agents in order to model human
cognition.
Keywords:
Embodied cognition, observer-participant perspectives, extended
observers, extended minds, emergent agents, emotional agents, attention,
anticipation and delayed responses, mirrored self-recognition, neosentient
machines, robotic models, robot-human interaction, the hard problem
of consciousness.

I look forward
to your reply.
Best wishes,
